I have been exposed to diverse fields through my career, which include Radar Engineering in natural science as well as Business. Negotiation Skills & Principle in addition to Practice of Enterprise PR in social science.
Academically speaking, a physical Non—linear FMCW radar designed to be applied for underground detection has been completed. And, several types of non-linear modulation signals have been developed for the purpose of reducing Sidelobes generated by the radar returns. And, owing to my double degrees both in Electrical Engineering and Journalism, I have also spent several years engaging in translation industry; the job was done on case by case basis and the translated works focused on Electrical Engineering and Information Science.
Aside from my now position as a teacher of Engineering Report Writings course at Chang-Gung,occasionally, I will be invited to tour some English-Speaking groups which mostly are consisted of scholars attending forums held in Taiwan from different countries or exchange students who come from different corners of the world. The frequently English, as a matter of fact American language, speaking chances really play an assisting role to my teaching
My past experience at Asia Pacific Telecom Group constitutes my strong background in both Sales and Management conducted at boardroom level. During the 3 years as Senior Director at APTG’s Regional Office(located at Central Taiwan), I was overall in charge of more than 100 staffs which consist of an Engineering Department of over-50 persons, a Sales Department over 40 and a logistic-support section including administration, accounting and technical staffs of less than 10. The sales revenue has been tripled within 3 years under the team work and the successful performance of the full-scale management of a regional Profit Center Office has also helped me to win the acknowledgement of the board of directors, I was then promoted as Vice President to lead a newly-established business unit for competing a specific government-sponsored WiMAX project, with an aim to complete the implementation and operation of the brand new wireless technology in Tai-chung municipal. Thanks to my academic background in Journalism, I have also participated in the Campaign Team and worked with the PR groups in domestic and nationwide election campaigns twice.
