Biography

Wei-Cheng Lin received the B.S. degree in electronics engineering at National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 1998, and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 2005. During his Ph.D., he worked on RF BSIM4 model extraction and built and RF circuit design at MACRONIX Corp., Taiwan. From 2009 to 2014, he started up an IC design company, NASTECH Corp., Taiwan. The product focused on 3.5”-21.5” multi-touch control IC and touch module integration of OGS and GFF. In the end, his company was acquired by listed company in stock market in Taiwan. In 2016, he founded an IC design company again with product-line focusing on GaN-on-Silicon Chip and fingerprint driver IC integrated on Touch/LCD/OLED display. By end of 2018, he sold out holding shares of company and left. In 2018, he served as assistant professor working in Chang-Gung University, Dept. of electrical engineering, Taiwan, and his research is devoting on the GaN-on-Silicon circuit design and mmWave to Terahertz chip and architecture development. Currently, he is officially assigned to be CEO for Chang-Gung University’s Intelligent Bio-Medical Alliance (GLORIA), which the alliance is belong to Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology.
